![]() ![]() ![]() We won’t get too into the weeds and put every tool under the microscope, rather we’ll take a broad overview so you get the best possible idea of what’s included in this software. In this tutorial I’ll take you through the features that make Gravit Designer so promising. We later might offer some additional stuff for teams which might be paid (as we need to pay those server bills too) but the Designer will stay free as we want everyone to be able to get access to a free, pro design tool.” In the words of Alex from Gravit, when asked if the program will remain free: “Yes it will definitely stay free and never be crippled by stupid fremium or whatever. It’s under active development with new features being added at a fast rate.Īnd on top of all that, it’s also 100% free with no advertising or intrusive monetization methods. It’s user friendly, professional grade, and truly cross platform in that it works in the browser, on Linux, Mac, ChromeOS and Windows, and will at a later date be available on iPad and Android too. I recreated the same art, adapting to the tools from Gravit Designer.Gravit Designer is, in my opinion, the next big vector editing program. I have followed the step-by-step taught in this tutorial created by Nathaniel from Tutvid, except that his tutorial was created with Illustrator. Gravit Designer also has it’s own Cloud storage, and it counts with multiple Fills and multiple Effects being applied to the same element. It is a truly multi-platform app available for Windows, MacOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Gravit is also a very lightweight application to be installed, but can also be used exclusively on the browser if you prefer. Gravit Designer does have a Pro version too (which is annual and not monthly, by the way) but there’s also the Free version, which is still very complete and can cover all your needs to design. No, we don’t really mean to brag here, but Gravit does have some advantages to Illustrator.įirst and foremost, you can use it for free. ![]() Gravit Designer still has many classic features in common with AI (and with other vector applications) like thorough text editing, symbols, shared styles, blending modes, text on path, path operations, swatches and so many more great features. The similarities don’t end here, of course. ![]()
